Good hotel with free parking, a lovely bar area, and efficient wi-fi. The friendly staff once helped me print documents during my first stay. I highly recommend it and I'm coming back for Christmas!

Really enjoyed its really helpful and exceptionally attentive staff.
Deluxe king room was brand-new. The personnel were happy to help. The hotel's position was exceptionally nice and perfect, next to the restaurant at night, the imposing avenue and the conservatory where there is a swell-stocked cocktail bar.

The delicious salmon and crayfish risotto was a highlight, enhanced by friendly banter with the locals at the bar. the late-night noise from the bar was disruptive to my sleep.

The first impression arriving through the avenue of trees was excellent followed by our greeting from a very helpful receptionist. The rooms were out of this world with the decor, and the breakfast before leaving was a real feast. Thank you.

It is a lovely old typically Suffolk country house hotel. Lots of character, great bar with real ale and log fires, and an intimate restaurant serving excellent food. Great for exploring the local Suffolk countryside.

We enjoyed the cosy but comfortable character of our room right up in the eves of the hotel. Log fire in the bar and characterful and comfortable decor. The restuarant food is of a good standard and we enjoyed having this served in the bar. The staff were very pleasant.
Our room was rather coldto start with but we understand there was a problem with the heating which was soon sorted. The food at lunchtime in the bar is far inferior to that we've enjoyed in the past eg. much more limited menu and lower quality. Previously the bar food was similar to the restaurant food.

I love the peaceful Secret Garden like atmosphere, The building is wonderful and the long avenue of old trees leading up to it is beautiful. It was my second stay and I will come again in the Spring when the garden comes alive.
The staff though pleasant are a little unprofessional. It seems a major feat to get bread before one's evening meal or toast served at the same time as the cooked breakfast, However, this is small grumble only.

felt welcome, stafff very eficient.
The bathroom had paint hanging off the ceiling, very tired looking, mould in the shower, shower head had water gushing out of the side. Water pump sounded like it was servicing the Hoover Dam.
